A major update has been issued over reports the Department for Work and Pensions ( DWP ) Christmas Bonus is rising from £10 to £200. Reports on social media suggest the DWP is increasing the Christmas Bonus this year from £10 to £200.
But this has now been debunked by Full Fact. Full Fact explained: "False. The Christmas Bonus will remain £10 in 2025. However, the DWP is offering larger amounts of money as part of other schemes to some people who get certain benefits."
The truth-finding service added: "We’ve spotted several videos circulating online claiming that the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is increasing the Christmas Bonus, paid to people on certain benefits, from £10 to £200 this year."
