Red Cross seeks volunteers, notes fires rise during holidays

Whether they have assisted with events, helped organize blood drives, or provided hands-on support for those in need, their selfless efforts have had a profound impact, and for that, we are grateful.

Already in November, we’re seeing a rise in home fires, a trend that often spikes as the weather cools and the holiday season kicks off. The Red Cross responds to nearly 20% more home fires during November and December than at other times of the year, assisting an average of 40,000 people during these two months alone.
