Ruth Langsford has opened up about the mixed emotions she experiences during Christmas , amid her mother's battle with Alzheimer's disease. The presenter's 94-year old mum Joan resides in a care facility near Ruth's home and while she receives excellent care, the presenter oversees all of her personal matters, from accompanying her to appointments to fulfilling any shopping requirements.
Conscious of her mother's advancing years and condition, Ruth ensures Christmas is particularly memorable and cherishes every moment they share together.
