A body has been found by the police amid the search for a missing man in Chester, Cheshire Constabulary has confirmed.
William Webb, 21, was reported missing on November 23 after having last been seen outside Rosie's Nightclub in the Northgate Street area of Chester at around 4am that morning.
Since his disappearance, searches have been ongoing, however on Monday, November 24, officers discovered a body in the Shropshire Union Canal. Although formal identification has not been confirmed, it is believed to be that of William, according to Cheshire Constabulary.
William's family have been informed of the development, and they are being supported by specialist officers. The death is not being treated as suspicious.
