WARREN — A Girard man indicted earlier this year on multiple charges of rape and other sex charges is heading to trial in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court.

Shane Genetta, 40, of Elruth Court, rejected a plea deal Monday that offered him an aggregate sentence of 35 years to life in prison if he pleaded guilty to all charges.

Genetta is facing 19 charges, which include six counts each of rape and pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor, four charges of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material or performance and gross sexual imposition.

The case is to go to jury trial Dec. 16, according to court records.
