BRECKSVILLE, Ohio – A plan to open a Greek-themed coffee shop and café in a vacant purple house built more than 120 years ago on Mill Road just west of Brecksville Road is ready to move forward.

On Nov. 6, the Brecksville Planning Commission granted final approval for Water’s Edge Café , which will serve traditional Greek food like homemade pita, yogurt and baklava.

The plan was introduced last year by Alexis and Scott Bucciere, an Independence couple.

“We’re kind of trying to infuse this building with life,” Jeremy Smith, an architect with Onward Design Collaborative, a Lakewood firm working on the project, told the commission.
