CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A puppy was rescued from a burning house in northeast Charlotte on Tuesday morning.

The fire broke out around 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 25, at a home on Monteith Drive near North Tryon Street.

Officials said that while crews worked to extinguish the flames, firefighter Gonzalez found a 13-week-old puppy, Tyler, unresponsive inside. Gonzalez carried Tyler out of the home to safety, where the puppy later regained consciousness.

Firefighters controlled the fire within 15 minutes, and no injuries were reported. Two adults were displaced from the home.

It was not immediately clear what caused the fire.

Once the area was deemed safe, Gonzalez shared a quiet, heartwarming moment with Tyler, captured in the pictures below.
