Weather maps from WXCharts suggest that wintry conditions are likely to hit the country in early December, with the temperature levels plummeting to -4C by December 9.

On December 6, areas around Inverness and Dundee are being hit by the snow, the maps show. Heavy snowfall is forecast to blanket central and northern parts of Scotland, creating challenging travel conditions and the potential for major disruption to daily life.
