CONROE, Texas (KTRK) -- A pastor and two other suspects were arrested after he was accused of helping them hide a car linked to a deadly hit-and-run crash, according to the Conroe Police Department.
Conroe police said the crash happened on Nov. 9 in the 200 block of North Loop 336 East. Investigators believe a vehicle hit a pedestrian and did not stop to help.
In a Monday update, police identified the pedestrian who died as Brett Wilborn, 46. Officers said he was hit first by an SUV that left the scene, then by a second vehicle whose driver stayed and called 911.
Officials said their investigation led them to the home of the suspected driver and passenger. There, they found a 2017 burgundy Chevrolet Suburban in a closed garage.
CPD identified the driver as Stephen Santeli Castro, 35,
