Heavy mountain snow will slow down Thanksgiving travelers, but that's not all. It will be cold enough tonight for a little taste of winter in the valleys and lowlands too.

After a chilly start to the day, temperatures will reach the upper 30s under cloudy skies. The evening commute will go smoothly with a few areas of light rain by 5 p.m.
As temperatures cool tonight and precipitation gets heavier, we'll see the rain flip to a rain/snow mix and even all snow for higher elevations around Spokane and Coeur d'Alene.
