ASHEVILLE, N.C. —

A suspect in an Asheville armed robbery was captured in the woods with the help of a drone and a K9.

The Asheville Police Department said the robbery happened about 9:45 p.m. Monday along Tunnel Road.

The victim told officers that a man approached him while armed with a gun and asked for money.

The victim gave him $160 in cash from his wallet and the suspect ran away.

The drone unit assisted officers in finding the suspect, Christopher Calvin Robinson , in a nearby wooded area.

Robinson was taken into custody with the help of K-9 Macho.

During the arrest, Robinson had narcotics, a firearm, and $160, according to police.

Robinson was charged with felony robbery with a dangerous weapon and other charges.
