GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - A Grand Island man is in jail accused of violating a protection order for his wife and children.
Grand Island police arrested 37-year-old Tyler Breiner early Tuesday at a home in northwest Grand Island. Police said he had gone to the house to pick up clothes and personal item. Police said he took a shotgun from a safe, threatened to kill himself in front of his wife and children and then hit his wife.
He was arrested for violating a domestic abuse protection order, domestic violence assault causing bodily injury, possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person, possession of a firearm in commission of a felony and negligent child abuse.
Police said Breiner’s wife did not need medical attention.
He’s being held in the Hall County Detention Center. Charge
