SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - Police are outside a house at the corner of State Street and Ionia Street in Springfield and crime scene tape is up.

First responders were called to the scene shortly before 10 a.m. Tuesday including Springfield police and the Springfield Fire Department.

When our Western Mass News crew arrived on scene we could see police officers at the home, going in and out a side door as well as a white Crime Scene Investigation Unit van right outside.

At this time details about what happened aren’t immediately available.
