STRATFORD, Conn. (WFSB) - Stratford has a new acting police chief after Chief Joseph McNeil resigned Tuesday.
Mayor Laura Hoydick announced McNeil’s resignation was effective immediately and named Deputy Chief Paul DosSantos to take over the department.
Hoydick thanked McNeil for his years of service to the town and said DosSantos has the experience and knowledge needed for the job.
The mayor said police operations won’t skip a beat during the transition and the department will keep up its standards of safety and professionalism.
