NORWALK, Conn. (WFSB) - An investigation is underway following an armed robbery in Norwalk on Saturday night.

At around 11:27 p.m. officers were called to the Mohegan Smoke Shop located on North Main Street after a report of a robbery, the police department said.

A store employee told police that a man went into the store, showed his hand gun and stole cash.

The suspect then fled the scene.

Officers searched several areas nearby, but have not located the suspect.

No further details were released.
