REX, Ga. — Am Amber Alert went out Tuesday afternoon for a 2-month-old abducted by his father in Clayton County.

According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children , the alert is for 2-month-old Roma Williams.

The alert advised that Roma was allegedly abducted at 8:35 a.m. on Tuesday by 25-year-old Tariq Williams. In a release, the Clayton County Police Department said Tariq is Roma's father.

The department said the abduction occurred "during a domestic incident" in the area of Felder Road and Mt. Zion Boulevard. Police allege Tariq Williams assaulted Roma's mother and "forcibly took control" of her car, "leaving her stranded and taking off with the child."
