We are giving you the FIRST ALERT to shower chances this evening and into the morning hours Wednesday.

We had a dreary Tuesday throughout Eastern Kentucky as showers and storms persisted throughout the day.

We will keep the shower chances in the forecast as we roll into the evening hours.

Overnight lows will hover in the upper 40s and low 50s.

Some places, especially near Pikeville, Grundy as well as Logan will only go into the mid 50s.

This takes us to Wednesday where we see a cold front swing through.

Highs will make it into the mid 50s with a caveat, and that caveat is that we will see our high in the early morning hours, and temperatures will fall throughout the day.

Once the front swings through, shower chances will exit leaving us with mainly sunny skies.
