OSHTEMO, Mich. — Tuesday afternoon the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office was called to the Fifth Third Bank located at 6040 Stadium Drive in Oshtemo Twp. for a report of a suspicious package that had been left outside of the bank.

The package was left by an unidentified customer who had attempted to cash a check at the bank but had been refused, according to authorities.

The Kalamazoo Bomb Squad responded to the scene to evaluate the package. They determined there were no explosives present at the scene.

The sheriff's office said they do have a person of interest and are continuing to investigate. They do not believe there is any danger to the public at this time.
