LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Heads up drivers, overnight lane closures are happening Tuesday night on Interstate 64.
Both I-64 East and West will be reduced from Buck Creek Road to Taylorsville Road starting at 7 p.m. and will go until 6 a.m. Wednesday, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC). Crews will be installing pavement markers during the closure.
This is part of of a multi-year project meant to widen 11 miles of I-64 and allow crews to work on seven bridges on the interstate, KYTC said. Three of them are supposed to be rebuilt, while the rest will be widened.
The $118 million project is expected to be finished in fall 2027.
