OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The charge for a 14-year-old boy arrested in connection to a homicide in the Benson area in October has been dismissed.
The boy’s 2nd-degree murder charge was dismissed in court due to insufficient evidence, according to court documents.
The boy was previously charged as an adult with a $750,000 bond.
On October 14, Omaha Police officers responded to a report of a disturbance around 66th and Emmet streets.
When officers got to the scene, they found 38-year-old Christopher Jackson suffering from a stab wound. He was taken to the hospital with life-saving measures underway but later died from his injuries at the hospital.
