The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Activity (BCA) is investigating a police shooting in Plymouth.
According to the Plymouth Police Department, an officer encountered an armed man as the officer responded just before 4:40 a.m. Tuesday to a reported domestic disturbance on the 6100 block of Quinwood Lane North, which involved a man who was knocking on a residential window.
The department says the officer confronted the man, who was armed with a handgun, in a parking lot, and the officer shot the man.
The man was detained and taken to a hospital, where he's in stable condition.
The officer was unharmed but has been placed on critical incident leave.
