HURRICANE, Ohio (WSAZ) – A man faces battery charges after investigators said he attacked two city workers in Hurricane.
Hurricane Mayor Scott Edwards said Ashton McCallister, 26, approached the city workers, became irate and broke one worker’s nose. The other worker was not injured.
The incident happened late Tuesday morning.
Edwards said McCallister “was irate about something with his family.”
McCallister is charged with two counts of battery, obstruction and fleeing.
The mayor referred to it as a “malicious and unprovoked attack.” Investigators aren’t certain why it happened.
McCallister was taken to the Western Regional Jail.
