CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Division of Fire reports that one man has died after flames broke out at a home in the city's Stockyards neighborhood on Tuesday.
According to Lt. Mike Norman, crews responded to an occupied house fire on West 60th Street north of Denison Avenue during the afternoon. The fire occurred in the upstairs part of the house, as well as in the stairway.
The victim, who Norman reported was in his 50s, was found on the second floor and taken by EMS to MetroHealth Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. Damage is estimated at $25,000.
