Coventry City extended their lead at the top of the Championship table with a 4-2 victory at Middlesbrough . Liam Kitching and Ellis Simms each grabbed a double to ensure Frank Lampard's rampant team came away with the win away from home.

Simms scored the opener inside 10 minutes before Kitching doubled the lead four minutes later. Morgan Whittaker then pulled one back for the visitors, but Simms and Kitching struck once again in quick succession with both goals coming just minutes before the 90th minute.
