Frank Lampard hailed the character of his Coventry City team who scored two early and two late goals to bookend a brilliant 4-2 victory at second placed Middlesbrough.

The superb away win extended the Sky Blues winning run to ten games out of 11 and created a ten point gap at the top of the Championship.

Ellis Simms and Liam Kitching scored in the 10th and 14th minutes and again in the 85th and 86th to secure the win after Morgan Whittaker and a Bobby Thomas own goal drew the hosts level.
