Joshua Ryan Woods, a 17-year veteran of law enforcement serving as a Court Services Deputy with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, was arrested for a DUI by the Tennessee Highway Patrol on November 21, on Sweetwater-Vonore Road in Monroe County, Sheriff Tommy Jones says.

The following day, November 22, Woods was terminated from his position for violating Monroe County Sheriff’s General Orders regarding professional conduct and responsibility.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that, with Woods’ employment officially ended, it will not release further updates.
