ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - The trial in the Missouri Attorney General’s attempt to oust St. Louis City Sheriff Alfred Montgomery wrapped up Tuesday after both sides made their closing arguments.

The Missouri Attorney General’s Office, in a writ of quo warranto, accused the 28-year-old sheriff of:

Unlawfully detaining Deputy Commissioner of St. Louis City Justice Center

Unlawfully arresting a licensed private security guard

Failing to transport prisoners for medical treatment

Misuse of public resources to pick up his children from school

Failing to manage the finances of the office responsibly

Being unable to devote time to the sheriff’s office due to being in jail
