Defense attorneys for Amanda Franco and Brandy Hodil asked a Volusia County judge Tuesday for a continuance in the case involving the fatal dog attack that killed 8 year old Michael Millett in January .

During a brief afternoon hearing, Franco and Hodil’s attorneys said they needed more time to review newly released discovery.

The defense said, “We are moving to continue to the January 27 pretrial. In light of the discovery we have received now, I believe it will take at least that time to get to a good point.”
