INDIANAPOLIS — 13News is getting new pictures and video of Indianapolis Fire Department personnel making a quick rescue Tuesday afternoon.
A deck collapsed at a home on Newman Street east of downtown Indy at around 1:30 p.m. It left a man and a woman in wheelchairs trapped inside the debris.
Firefighters got the man out in minutes, then got to work freeing the 71-year-old woman. It took about 15 minutes for rescuers to stabilize and secure her.
Both victims were later reported to be doing OK.
IFD says it's unclear what caused the deck to collapse.
