WEST SPRINGFIELD — A person injured in a West Springfield house fire on Nov. 19 has died, according to the Hampden District Attorney’s Office and local fire officials.

The fire also does not seem suspicious, officials said, and no more details about the victim are being shared at present.

District Attorney Anthony D. Gulluni and West Springfield Fire Chief Christopher Bartone extended their condolences to the victim’s family in a joint statement on Tuesday.

An ongoing investigation into what caused the fire at 98 Allston Ave. is being handled by West Springfield fire and police officials, along with state police and the state Department of Fire Services.

More details will be provided as the investigation moves forward, they said.
