STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. — A man in Stone Mountain was arrested after trying to extort a cadet from the DeKalb County Police, according to a police report.
Officers with the Stone Mountain Police Department were called to townhomes located in the 1100 block of Rankin Street on Nov. 9, around 5:54 p.m., after receiving a property damage call.
When officers arrived, they met with three people, including Kenneth Colbert, who told officers that their neighbor had come to their unit to check on them after accidentally discharging a bullet from her gun while cleaning it.
Colbert told officers that after searching their unit, they found a single bullet hole in the room of his daughter, which was located on the second floor. Colbert and another woman said their daughter was lying in her bed when the
