NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The North Little Rock Police Department (NLRPD) has made an arrest in a deadly homicide shooting that happened on Sunday.

According to reports, at about 2:14 a.m. on November 23, officers with the NLRPD were called to the 1900 block of Parker Street with reports of someone who had been shot.

Once they arrived, officers found a woman identified as 19-year-old Jaybriann Turner suffering from a gunshot wound. She was taken to the hospital, where she later died .

During the investigation, detectives identified 19-year-old Damarcus Lewis of North Little Rock as a suspect in the shooting death of Turner. They issued an arrest warrant for Lewis on a charge of first-degree murder.
