Capitol Police say two juveniles reported missing out of Alabama were safely located in Jackson on Tuesday afternoon.
According to officials, around 1:11 p.m. on November 25, Capitol Police received a tip about the possible location of the children. Officers responded to the area of Capitol and Farish Streets, where they found the two juveniles.
The children were in the company of an adult female who, investigators discovered, has an outstanding foreign warrant out of Birmingham, Alabama.
The woman was taken into custody without further incident and is awaiting extradition to Alabama.
Authorities say the two juveniles will be released into the custody of the Mississippi Department of Child Protective Services.
Capitol Police said no further comment will be made at this time.
