Detectives Dismiss Widely Circulated Claims and Clarify Key Details as Scrutiny Intensifies
Los Angeles police pushed back Wednesday on misinformation circulating about the investigation into the death of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas, saying several details reported by media outlets are inaccurate.
In a statement, the Los Angeles Police Department said Rivas’ body was neither frozen nor decapitated when it was found inside a Tesla at an impound yard on September 8. The LAPD also confirmed investigators have evidence that singer D4vd traveled to Santa Barbara County sometime in the spring of 2025, but emphasized that the purpose of the trip remains unclear. Detectives, the agency said, have not drawn conclusions about whether that travel is connected to the case.
