UNION TOWNSHIP, Ohio — The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office is crediting quick action and teamwork for saving a driver’s life after deputies discovered an unconscious person inside a vehicle filled with propane gas along US-35 on November 20, 2025 .

Deputies were dispatched after callers reported a driver slumped over the wheel of a running vehicle. When Sergeant Kyle and Deputy Ennis arrived, they found a hazardous scene: multiple propane tanks inside the vehicle were actively releasing gas , saturating the enclosed space and creating a life-threatening situation.
