Frank Lampard played down Coventry City’s latest achievement after securing a huge victory at second placed Middlesbrough to go ten points clear at the top of the Championship.
The win came as the Sky Blues ’ tenth in their last eleven games, going one netter than last season’s winning streak of nine wins out ten, and saw the team rack up another four goals to take their tally to a whopping 47 after just 17 matches, giving them a goal difference of 30!
Asked if his team’s form and numbers sends a clear message to the rest of the league, Lampard said: “It doesn’t matter does it! I think we just need to keep doing what we’re doing.
“It’s still so early in the season. We can see the lead. No-one’s stupid because there are really good teams in and around us – the Ipswiches and Southampton
