Coventry made history as they opened up a ten-point gap at the top of the Championship with a 4-2 victory over Middlesbrough.

But Boro, who sat second behind Coventry heading into the clash, fought back through Morgan Whittaker, before a Bobby Thomas own goal brought the score level early in the second half.
