SANTA ANA – A 39-year-old man was charged Tuesday with sexually assaulting two girls in Cypress.

Leandro D. Cabo was charged with two counts of sexual penetration with a child 10 years or younger and two counts of lewd acts with a minor younger than 14, all felonies.

Cabo was accused of assaulting one girl in July 2023 and Nov. 16, and another girl on Nov. 16, according to the criminal complaint.

Cabo did not enter a plea at his arraignment in the jail courtroom in Santa Ana on Tuesday. The hearing was rescheduled for Dec. 16 in the West Justice Center in Westminster.

Further details were not immediately available. Cypress police did not immediately respond to a request for details.
