EL CENTRO — The California Highway Patrol’s El Centro Area office has officially launched its annual “CHiPs for Kids” Toy Drive, renewing a long-standing holiday tradition aimed at supporting children and families across the Imperial Valley. The initiative invites residents to donate new, unwrapped toys, which will be distributed to local children who may otherwise go without gifts this season.
CHP Officer Jose Marquez said the program has a long history of helping kids in the community. “The CHiPs for Kids Toy Drive is a Community Outreach Program that has been in existence for over 35 years,” he said.
