MONTICELLO, Minn. — The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) is investigating after a Wright County deputy shot a man armed with a knife in Monticello on Tuesday night.
The Wright County Sheriff's Office shared a press release early Wednesday, stating that deputies responded to a 911 call around 9 p.m. Tuesday on the 900 block of Golf Course Road. The caller said a man with a large knife was yelling in the street.
Deputies located the armed man and say he ignored commands to stop walking and drop the knife. Sheriff's officials say the man moved toward deputies and one deployed a Taser, but it didn't stop the suspect.
Another deputy fired their gun, hitting the suspect, who was transported to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale. He was reported in stable condition as
