11 games into the 2025 NFL season, the New York Jets have yet to record an interception on defense. They have generated just one defensive turnover all season. This is unfathomably bad. The next closest team has six defensive turnovers. 26 NFL teams have generated 10+ defensive turnovers. The Jets are a bad football team, but they would probably have a respectable record in a year with an easy schedule if they just were average at generating defensive turnovers. Instead they are on pace to be by far the worst team in NFL history in that category. So in the spirit of Thanksgiving, here’s what I’ll be thankful for, if it should come to pass: a defensive turnover or two on Sunday.
