GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - WITN highlights educators in the area every Wednesday morning thanks to your nominations. This week, we want you to meet Jacob Coman.

Jacob is an economics and personal finance teacher at Northside High School in Jacksonville.

He also serves as an AVID elective teacher for the senior class, which is a program that gives students the chance to learn skills they can use both inside and outside of the classroom, like organizational skills and critical thinking.

Jacob went to East Carolina University and began his career in education at a school in the Raleigh area.

He made his way back to eastern Carolina and has been working at Northside for the last two years.
