LEXINGTON, N.C. —
Two adults and one child are dead after a North Carolina house fire, according to officials with the Davidson County Fire Marshal's Office.
On Tuesday, around 4:30 a.m., firefighters said they were called to the flames on the 300 block of Kimberly Lane.
"Caller is stating that the whole side of the house is smoking, possibly people trapped in the basement," said a 911 operator who took the call.
Officials said they investigated the origin of the fire and found it began in a motorhome
parked near a single-family residence. Officials said the fire then spread to the home itself.
