For the past several years, the Museum Club was synonymous with country swing dancing. The 1931 building, with its wooden floors and rustic decor, set the perfect scene for a raucous hoedown. The announcement of its closure came as a crushing blow for many local dancers, who saw the club as a second home.
“My first immediate thought was about the community,” Meghan Belmares said. “I’ve seen so many people start dancing for the first time in their life.
