SULPHUR, La. (KPLC) - If you have family in town for the week and want to kick off the holiday festivities with a little local flavor, The Creole Christmas Market in Sulphur is the place to be this weekend.
Held just in time for Small Business Saturday, there will be all kinds of small businesses at the West Cal Arena on Saturday, Nov. 29, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
With an entry fee of just $5 (free for children), there will be a variety of vendors, food trucks, fun Christmas activities, and Santa might even pay a visit from 10 a.m. to noon.
There will also be a Creole Queen Pageant for girls 0 to 10 years old that will function as a fundraiser for “ The Missing Piece, ” which provides ABA therapy for those with autism.
