NORMAN — OU University Theatre will present A Christmas Carol Dec. 5–14 in the Weitzenhoffer Theatre on the University of Oklahoma ‘s Norman campus.
The production features students from the Helmerich School of Drama and includes scenic, sound, lighting and costume design by student designers working alongside faculty mentors.
The adaptation centers on Ebenezer Scrooge, the well-known character whose encounters with the past, present and future challenge his indifference toward others.
“Everyone knows A Christmas Carol, but chances are people will be surprised by this adaptation,” said director Seth Gordon . “It’s very ensemble-oriented, which is great for a professional training program such as ours but also emphasizes the universal themes of the story. A Christmas Carol
