Color and shapes are front and center of the new exhibit at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art that focuses on the legacy of artist Paul Reed and the group of artists that were part of the Washington Color School in the 1960s.

The new major exhibit, “Paul Reed: A Retrospective,” opened last month and will be on display through April 12. OKCMOA has one of the most definitive collections of Reed’s influential work thanks to a decade-long relationship with the artist’s daughter, Jean Reed Roberts, noted Byron Chambers, the museum’s director of education and visitor experience, during a members’ preview talk opening the exhibit.
