The Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating a fatal fire Tuesday night, November 26, 2025, in the Kingsmill Trailer Park in the Red Lion Area.

Delaware City firefighters were dispatched to North Dragon Drive around 7:30 p.m. for a fire alarm, but while enroute calls to the 9-1-1 Center resulted in the alarm being upgraded with the possibility of a person trapped.

Smoke was coming from the trailer when fire crews arrived, and they were able to rescue a man from inside, but he was pronounced dead at Christiana Hospital.
