Parts of the country have already tasted their first spells of this snow this year and that trend looks set to continue into the week.

Weather forecasters are predicting the arrival of snow and heavy rainfall in a matter of days.

Weather maps from WX Charts have turned purple, orange and green signalling the arrival of the wet and cold weather.

The forecaster , which uses metdesk data, has predicted the rainfall and snow to arrive over parts of the Midlands on Saturday (November 29).

According to WX Charts, a total of 2.6cm of snow per hour is expected to fall at 12pm in Northamptonshire.
