A woman was injured in a robbery attempt outside a Midland supermarket store
The incident took place outside the Lidl shop in Bolebridge Street in Tamworth last Saturday (November 22).
A woman was on her bike when a man approached her and tried to steal her bicycle and mobile phone.
She was pushed and fell to the floor during the scuffle and injured her left arm and wrist.
Good Samaritans intervened to help the woman.
The would-be robber is said to have fled on foot in the direction of Amington Road.
A 30-year-old man from Tamworth was arrested on suspicion of robbery.
He has been released on conditional bail pending further investigations.
Now Staffordshire Police is appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward.
